Circular Systems in Africa
Kuda Dhliwayo specializes in one thing: building circular systems that work in real economies.
Her work sits at the intersection of infrastructure, enterprise, and policy helping businesses, governments, and development actors design solutions that are commercially viable, operationally practical, and built for African realities.
Her perspective is shaped by firsthand experience working within Zimbabwe’s waste management and recycling sector since 2017, where the challenges of circularity are not theoretical, but deeply connected to infrastructure gaps, informal markets, industrial limitations, and economic pressure.
Drawing from a background in entrepreneurship and consultancy, Kuda works across public, private, and civil society sectors to navigate the complexity of building green systems in emerging economies.
Rather than repeating global sustainability narratives disconnected from local conditions, her work examines the economic, industrial, and social forces shaping Africa’s transition toward circularity.
Kuda believes meaningful systems change begins with understanding reality as it is — not as policy reports describe it. Her work focuses on creating honest conversations around what is working, what is failing, and what it will truly take to build sustainable circular economies in Africa
